You ought to buy a telephone. They're wonderful things. The idea behind them is that you speak into your telephone and someone else speaks into their telephone and - here's the best bit - you can actually hear what other person is saying!

you should try to use other free and open protocols such a jabber.
You can also use yahoo messenger or skype for talking...
msn is not the only service for chatting.

it's always a good new to learn msn is down. Probably it means they definitely switched to some microsoft servers instead of stable, reliable, unix servers.

My mate had the same attitude, the way his girl always phoned him for an hour... They broke up cos she was in another country - but I still say that a phonecall isn't expensive.

If you really love someone, you wouldn't care how much you had to pay or sacrifice to be with him/her. I know I feel that way about someone.

i think you assholes need to stop telling me what to do in my relationship. I can't phone out anymore because i used to phone her too much, so a call baring was put on the phone. She can't phone me all the time or else the same would happen to her. When she gets home she can't call me coz he mom hasn't payed the phone bill. My attitude in my relationship is nothing but possitive. And how dare you to judge ME, when you haven't even met me. FUCK you.

You must either have phoned her ALOT (I don't know the price exactly, but isn't it like 2p/min, especially if its a friends/family number on BT, after 6pm) or have tight parents who don't like phone bills more than £50 (line rental of about £20 I think) and they make most of the calls...

AANYway, 007bond is wrong in that statement. Sacrafice and money are two different things. Going into heavy dept isn't love, it's called "being used". As long as you feel comfortable with the exchange, that's fine. But putting no bounds on money - that's silly.

This actual topic is kinda silly too, because "standards" aren't even standards any more. I consider one 'standard' of life is a mobile phone, a PC with internet access, a job, and buying most things for yourself. Others (one guy I distantly know of) live off their parents for food, stuff, clothes, phone, everything.
Zel might not have a mobile (which is odd in this day and age), or a job (annoys us working people) - or other stuff we call a 'standard'...
This is my half-assed way to apologise without looking like I was wrong in the first place, but understanding that there's a difference without backing down... My 'fight' has gone recently - I'll get back to you.
