Runtime error, Server Error in '/' Application, Alex Warren is back

There is no server error,
I am doing this to get the website owner's attention,
I just realized the website owner might only return to restart server and not read the forum

Alex Warren is back

I saw the title of this post when I checked the forum about 4 minutes after this was posted, and, without actually reading this post, I opened a Quest game in the online editor, and it did not immediately load.

I was already believing the server was down; so, I did not wait very long before opening the dev tools console. I saw a 404 error concerning jQuery, jumped to conclusions, and emailed the person who resets the server ... in the middle of the night.

Come to find out that 404 error concerning jQuery doesn't really matter, and I could have waited 2 more seconds and the editor would have loaded my game.

To my knowledge, there is only one person who can reset the server and said notable only maintains the server itself and Squiffy. (But it sounds like Alex has returned briefly to patch up a few site-related issues, then he has some plans for Squiffy.)

On the other side, there is only one person who maintains Quest itself.

Also, to my knowledge, XanMag and only one or two other people have mod powers. So, there's a maximum of three people who have the ability to categorize games and keep the riff-raff out of the forums.

I honestly don't know how long I would make it categorizing games before I just couldn't handle looking at "Shrunken" games or V--- games anymore. I'm fairly certain that's why XM isn't really active anymore.

To everyone who likes that sort of stuff, you do you. I'm not against its existence; I'd just rather not be exposed it. (I'm sure I enjoy things other people dislike. It's all good in the hood, as they say.)

That's all I've got to say at the moment.

Happy gaming!

PS

I see what you were doing there. I should have simply read the post before acting.

Lol,
I dug to the bottom of the rabbit hole

the website owner is "alive" this year,
maybe he is not visiting this website for reasons,
maybe he is not giving mod powers for reasons,
or maybe he just doesn't like reading the forum

I am a nobody here, but I hate to see people waiting for nothing,
so I'm just telling you this info,
so you can make better use of your time,
because the website seems to function as the owner intended

I dunno what is the owner's plan,
I dun even know if it is the same owner,
but if he wishes so,
he would read the forum and get in touch with everyone

Holy

Bot:

  1. Auto-Renewal: Many domain registrars offer automatic renewal services. If the domain is set to auto-renew, it will remain active as long as the payment information is valid and there are funds available. This can keep a domain live even if the owner is no longer actively managing it.

This means even though if someone paid for the website this year, it doesn't necessarily means the owner is still alive

This link shows someone paid for the website this year

I was worried that someone might snatch domain upon expiry which is why I didn't post it earlier,
but the bot says

  1. Previous Content: The content and images that were previously hosted on the website are usually not transferred with the domain. Once a domain expires and is not renewed, the hosting account associated with it also expires, meaning the website’s files, databases, and content are likely to be deleted or become inaccessible.

So, buying an expired domain only gets you the website link,
which then the new owner have to redo everything from scratch

I'm pretty sure the ads barely cover the price of domain renewal.
