How to Get What You Want by deanblake

In this game, you will be given a scenario and you must respond as if it were real. Think of how you would actually react to the situation presented to you.

This lesson is designed to show you who you are in your response to others and how this affects you getting what you want out of your life.

The goal is to end with a positive number in your "Effectiveness Score".

I don't want to give it a rating just yet. It's a wonderful simulation, but there are two big things in this version of the game:
• The information text (the one that tells you the path you took) can get repetitive. From the first time I read it, I already understood that assertiveness means taking action while being respectful to others. The only information that I would keep is how it relates to that moment. I can send you a squiffy code if you're interested. It will make a brief opening description of your path-type print when you encounter that path-type for the first time despite when you find it and not after you've already seen that explanation. Try clicking on my username to see if you can email me or not. If you can't, just comment on here so that I know that you want help.

• It's evident what the correct path is. When you use disrespectful and demeaning vocabulary (and sometimes if it makes you chuckle a bit) in a choice, the player automatically knows which one is the right one. Try making it more ambiguous by making the choice of vocabulary neutral. You want the player to choose the actions, not the words.

Feel free to contact me about anything. I have a few games published already that I made with squiffy(despite it saying HTML). I love Squiffy games, and yours sure was interesting. I got 7 points first try (also, maybe add some custom messages based on the scores you get if you're not too busy. Those would be cool).
