American Football by Robert Leach

I have no idea what "Sandpit" is, but since there isn't a "Sports" options in the Category section, I went with it.

This game is v.00001 of a test I'm doing to see if I can port a turn-based sports game into a text engine. So far, so good (well, mediocre at best, let's say).

Right now, you only play on Offense. The verbs are as follows: Run, Pass, Punt, FG. The game has no end. Just play until you're bored.

In time, I'd like to mold this game into something relatively fun to play and something that requires some skill. Right now, there's a LOT of random chance going on.

Anyway, enjoy and please do let me know what features you'd like to see.

I think maybe if you could incorporate a play action pass? A fake punt/field goal? and going on the extra point (for 2)

I know this is going to be a lot of coding, but if you could gradually do it, I think it would be awesome

Also, my opponent scored field goals on their first two possessions, and yet I was only down 3-0, haha.

I tried to make a turn-based american football text adventure using Quest a while back, but I got frustrated and quit. I really wish I hadn't given up.

If you could incorporate a timer, that would be a great advantage to the game. I'm sure you're likely considering that anyway, but I wanted to make mention of it regardless.

Keep working on this man. I've been hoping for something like this for awhile.
