You are a gunner and a powder monkey on The Golden Dragon. This junk operates out of The Lotus Den, an independent island in an unknown sea, a territory outside the claim and jurisdiction of any single nation. It is the home of pirates, outlaws, and exiles from around the world. A maritime war between greater nations is waged off the island’s coast, but anyone who sets foot here stands on neutral ground.
Tensions of remaining neutral parties flare regularly, and the island is susceptible to revealing the worst of a person’s soul. Some say these evils are the result of supernatural intent. Others say they are simply the product of difficult times. It is unclear which is correct, or if any scratch the truth of the matter at all.
