After being asked to help on a famous dig site you come across an ancient artefact which binds itself to you. Before you know it you are travelling through time and space ending up everywhere from Sparta to Krypton. When it goes you end up with knowledge of the basic situation but no details. You cannot control where or when you go but your actions influences it.
