Little Chiyo is a young girl from a small village called Yoroido, Japan. Her father is old and her mother is sickly. Poor as they are, one day a man called mr Tanaka Ichiro comes around and offers her father a better life for Chiyo and her older sister Satsu. This day is described by Chiyo as the best and worst day of her life. Follow her story as she transitions into one of Japan's most culturally elevated artists.
