I can see where you're going with this, but it definitely needs a lot of work.

I would recommend you look at the documentation as Quest can do most things you would want it to do. For example, you could change the room description for the prison to not mention the guard when he's not there using an "if/else" clause. Also, play the highest rated games as this will give you an idea of what the possibilities and limitations are.

Also, there's too much "guess the verb". The control pane is somewhat helpful, but 1) I feel control panes and hyperlinks always dumb down games and look cheap, and 2) if you need to check available verbs on the control pane, then maybe the verbs are too difficult to guess.

I hope you look at this game again. It has a certain feel to it, and I do really think you could turn it into a very good game. Best of luck to you.
