Castle Champion! by JonQ

You are Captain of the Treehouse People! Your new neighbor, the Fisher-King across the sea, has sent out a distress signal about a robot Baron besieging his castle--from within! You set out in your boat to help.

To defeat the Baron, you must rescue other champions in the dungeon to fight with you, along with weapons and artifacts, if you can find them. But hurry, the Baron is bent on taking possession, and time is running out!

In this "click-text adventure," a more intricate sequel to the Treehouse Champion game, you will explore the Fisher realm filled with vintage toy heroes and villains to stop the demented Baron Karza. There are labyrinthine passages, RPG combat encounters, special effects, and puzzles aplenty. Try to beat a score of 150!

Hey RobotBand, thanks for the feedback! Glad you liked the lore as you explored the little realm. The combat issue is not a bug as far as I can tell. What you're describing sounds like what happens after the monsters initially encounter you; if stay in the area, you can indeed attack, but after several rounds, they get fed up and go wandering in search of other prey. In their "wandering" mode, they will swing at you as they pass through a room, but then they don't appear in the Objects bar.
So if you fled each time a monster first appeared, you might not get to retaliate for a while. But the game is set up so that eventually, you get a chance to face and fight them again when they quit wandering. I hope that helps, and thanks so much for trying out Castle Champion!

I played this game and I must say, it's quite good. It was fun to read about the lore of the world and talk to the characters. However, I did have a few problems with the combat system. Enemies kept chasing me and attacking me in the caves, but I had no way to attack them as they didn't show up in the Places and Objects bar. So I just kept taking damage as I wandered aimlessly in the catacombs.

This game has a lot of heart and potential, but the bugs made it a bit hard to play.
