Hey guys I just got online here for the first time in more than 3 years, and saw people have had a lot of trouble with the way I abused grammar years ago, and have trouble completing this kind of small game,
I just played this too with only barely remembering a little bit, some things kind of suprised me like the ending, but I could finish it in like half an hour, If you guys want I could drop some SPOILERS
to help you guys advance

Completely stuck on the small island. I have the rope, the piece of small rope, and the dagger, and I can't do anything with anything.

You're on a ship and you have five minutes until it sinks which creates a tensity in the narrative. Once you manage to leave your cabin there's two areas you can explore that are almost exclusively filled with people that don't have much to say despite the gravity of the situation you all find yourselves in. Needless to say, the whole five minutes is swallowed up speaking to these people and the ship sinks and you drown. Interestingly, the author appears to have overlooked the drowning aspect of the code so you're free to carry on the adventure, although this extra boon in time did nothing to further the narrative in any way.

hello lina ! sorry that i asnwered so late, i was doing my final exam's and am still buzy preparing for a re-exam
The pasword is devided in 2 words : the first one is easy, you can find it on board of the ship , and it give's light.
the second one is canis :P

I can't seem to find the password. I thought it was something like canes or canis, but I can't find a name with 2 c's. (I assume the password is dog, but I'm not quite sure.) Do you have any idea what I'm doing wrong?
