I have a feeling that this is supposed to be similar to a snapshot horror story. However, I find it to be unappealing. The plot unfolds all at once and the setting of the beginning of the story feels irrelevant. I also find the sudden presence and actions of the figure to be preposterous. I would suggest adding subliminal horror elements early on in the story to set the mood and gradually increase the pacing in which the plot unfolds.

Finally, the figure itself doesn't seem capable of one of the endings. It's supposed to instill fear and yet I couldn't find it plausible.
