Escape the House! by cliffale

IMPORTANT -- PLEASE READ: This is an escape game. You find yourself trapped in a strange house and must find a way out!

Do not rely on clicking highlighted words for the only actions. Try typing commands -- looking at items and using things that aren't listed in the menus. Also using items on other items.

This is my first game, please be critical -- I can take it. :) The game is complete and can be finished but please let me know about holes in logic, things you wish you could have done, stuff that doesn't appear to work the way it should, stuff you would like to have seen, etc.

When creating your room descriptions, mark the things in the room as 'scenery' or this will come up:
You can see a Cat, a Television and a Front Door Knob.
A television hangs on the wall nearby. There is a couch stretched along the north wall. On the couch sits a very thin, white Persian cat. You can hear its stomach growl. It glances at you with very little interest as it cleans its fur.

lain2: I really appreciate all your input! This is my first game of any kind and it's been a HUGE learning experience. I'll definitely work on the bugs you pointed out. Again, thanks so much for your feedback. :)

The catfood is referred to as "a catfood".

Also, when I put the food in the bowl (no real spoilers there!) the room description still says that I can see an empty bowl.

In the living room, I assume it's a "keyhole" rather than a "keyhold" in the doorknob ;)

If I get the catfood then put it in the bowl, then "get catfood" again (while in the kitchen), I'm told that the catfood is on a shelf that's too high.

In the bedroom, if I pick up the screwdriver it's still listed in the room description ;)

When I examine the shelf in the pantry, the response is:

"The shelf is very high up, but you can see a bag of catfood sitting on it.
A bag of cat food sits on the shelf. a Catfood."

Just needs a tidy.
