In my personal opinion I think that Charmander isn't even that good... I always choose Water types on my first play through and the Squirtle route is Funny, Deep, Grim, and sometimes Dark, and you have officially made this (Other than Pokemon Showdown and Pokemon Mega) my favorite fan-made Pokemon game =)

Mine also said that when I went into the wild with charmander and I was up against pidgeotto, it wouldn't let me do anything because they were broken links. I am playing on a phone, so I think it might be my phone, but I highly doubt it.

there is a problem with this game when I decided to go through the forest in the beginning of the game and came up battling pidgeotto I could not do anything what ever abilities I had my computer said the the link was broken what is up with that?
