After reading a forum post that had expired before I discovered Quest, I wondered aloud in group whether the exit descriptions library shared in the forum had ever been updated as the creator had proposed. Forum discussion here: https://textadventures.co.uk/forum/quest/topic/-lnmmxf1g0gracjoyafi-q/query-exitdescriptions-v1-0-release-give-exits-in-room-descriptions-just-like
What followed was a feat of creativity and problem solving on the part of Mr. Angel mrangel.
This library now allows an exit to have an in-room description which will either be a link to go to the next room, or, if the exit's name "south" is in the description only the directional will be the link.
Mrangel even thought ahead and added some checkboxes for variability of style for whether the "you can go" will appear, etc.
There appear to be a few minor bugs.
Here's hoping that it makes interesting exits and pathways easier to create for everyone!

So far, this test reveals these options are possible:
Descriptions with the Exit's alias in them can be either: A linked alias in description & appear in "you can go" list. OR No link in the description, but appearing in "you can go."
Descriptions with no exit alias in them can be: Either a link with the exit appearing in "you can go" OR A link with exit not appearing in "you can go." OR no link, but exit appearing in "you can go" OR Neither a link nor exit appearing in "You can go"
If the alias is part of a compound word in the description (downward), it will either: Link "down" in the description and not appear in "you can go." OR there will be no link, but the exit will appear in "You can go."
These variations based upon the use of the 3 checkboxes as tested in the demo.
