ok...
You've got the right idea here, but the interaction is not very good. All the player needs to do is walk into a room and EVERYTHING is done for them. You can easily make this a much more effective game if you gave the player a chance to do the interacting.
For example... instead of simply walking into the garden area and automatically encountering the rock and reading the rock and coming to the conclusion to go to the gym... there are options using the GUI to force the player to 'look at' the rock, read the rock, try to get the rock, move the rock, etc... but, whenever the player types in look at rock or read rock (or any verb + rock), we get a 'nothing out of the ordinary' message, which is automatically set as a default. Every object in game is this way - the rock, the 'whole' (it's spelled hole), the note, the running machine, etc.
If you are not sure how to use the GUI editor in Quest, play through the tutorial. It is VERY helpful in understanding how to make the game interactive. Also, there is a script in the GUI editor to 'end the game' when the player is at the end of the game. PM me if you are interested in help with the GUI.
