Review for Fatal Island Part 2
22 Apr 2015
Fatal Island Part 2 stays true to the roots of the original, in that it is built on situational, survival-themed suspense. It is clearly written by an author with a gift for such writing, and you'll very likely play the thing until you win (one way or another.)
Fatal Island Part 2 also differs from the original, in that one of the major obstacles in the game is more of a fantasy premise, as if something from a classic 19th century novel. With that said--and keeping this review spoiler free--I had fun trying to figure out how to get back past it.
(Reviewer's Note: A 3/5 is a strong, positive rating by my standards. Most free Quest games either take a couple minutes to thoroughly solve or are broken and are unbeatable. This, even if reasonably beatable in 5-10 minutes, is one of the stronger outings I've seen from this engine, and I think Fatal Island Part 1 is even stronger in its suspenseful scenarios.)
