Review for my father's long, long legs
13 Mar 2014
This was such a great story - having to interact with it (especially using the flashlight) to move the story forward was a lot scarier than turning a page has ever been. I have a friend who has started a publishing house specifically for works that combine good storytelling with modern tech. You might want to see about submitting something, so here's the site: http://zoeticpress.com/
The things I loved most about this story were that it came from a daughter's point of view (so many stories make male characters the default), that the sound effects were spare and very effective, that at one point my choices of highlighted text made me feel lost and blind in a maze, and that near the end I was terrified of what my flashlight would show. The end, by the way, was sublimely eerie with just enough resolution to make me breathe again.
