You, Aurora Chazin, are a 15 year old girl with a mission—to find your mother. Recently, your village was pillaged and burned to the ground by the neighboring island of Velon, who do not condone magic and its use, as your island, Auberon, does. After the battle, your mother was nowhere to be found. You are living with your uncle's family in the next village over for the time being, but cannot bear the thought of not knowing about your mother any longer. You sneak away one night, leaving your two younger siblings with your uncle and father, with just your broken Staff that is not much good for combat anymore and only a general sense of your whereabouts. Your plan is to go back to your old village and search for clues about your mother's location, and if necessary, sneak into Velon to bring her back home. You will stop at nothing to know what happened to her: even if she's no longer on this earth.
