Keith Haring, In His Own Words by keithharinginhisownwords

I used digital storytelling technology to create an interactive exhibition of Keith Haring’s life through a collection of his journal writings and interviews where he spoke on his life and experiences. Before he died, Haring created the Keith Haring Foundation, an organization devoted to showcasing his art and life accessibly through his perspective as well as providing support to not-for-profit organizations that assist children and organizations involved in education, research and care related to HIV and AIDS which he subsequently died from in 1990. On the Foundation’s website there is a portion of his archived journal entries and interviews where Haring tells his life story, “In his own words,” which is the inspiration behind the name of the project I created.
