Welcome to Ponyville- Adding on by bronypal

The original game is by Klondikekun, I had no part in the original game.
What I plan to try and do over a long period of time is to add on to what he has already. I'm new to quest and this is the first thing I've done so hopefully looking at what coding he has done will help me into making more stuff to add on to it.
This project is harder than I originally thought :P I'm not giving up yet though. Just expect slow progress, I'm balancing my life with making this and making this is hard so I won't have much time however I am persistent and will try and finish it to the best of my abilities. The only promise I can make is that I will for certain finish the Wonderbolts event, Manehattan and let you be able to talk to all the ponies in the reputation list.

Currently there is that ratio of males to females (Thanks Hasbro) , at this point I thought over this for about 2 weeks I will consider MALE OCs with detailed info. In other words personality, view towards other ponies, talkative or shy stuff like that. Describe how they look too. You can also recommend other MALE characters randomly sprawled out throughout the show if you do please tell me what episodes they appear in so I can look into them, recommended characters are more likely to be in the thing than OCs. Email recommendations or OC entries to [email protected] if you can enter a subject name it character. Only accepting male characters because female outnumbers males.

Quick note
The thing that is currently going on for day 14(relationship only event) is only a placeholder until I feel like I should add a small area to talk to people around the event perhaps under a specific time frame, and moving takes time, forcing you to choose who is more important to you, I found reputation areas for Soarin and Spitfire so I will make certain you meet them here because Wonderbolts.

This game looks really great... but the save system doesn't work, whether I try the game on this website or as a downloaded game for Quest. The save fails to load ;the days, bits, stats, ... reset ; I get stuck with the first foe (the tree) who doesn't lose any HP, the pony specy isn't the one I picked, and I get stuck.
It's a pity, for I had managed to go far before saving and try loading that after a while. The story looks quite good and I wish this game had been correctly refined to work without problem.

It have the problem where it saves the inventory but it does not save the stats. So yeah, I hope in the future this fun game will be updated

Weird bug: went with twilight to talk with fluttershy. did that. everyone is gone. as i am searching, i found that if you go back to fluttershy's house it resets your conversation with her, except she doesn't take your hat again. it's confusing, plz fix!

I found a loophole where you can still get infinite relationship points with Pinkie Pie. After speaking to Pinkie Pie to get the relationship points, speak to her again and she will say that Mrs. Cake is still sick. Then you can do the quest again and keep earning points.
Please fix (also add more quests because I think Free Roam is boring).

i got an idea! once you add to manehattan you'll meet the pony you meet at the start. for example i'll say the one if you pick pegasus:girl with light green skin and even darker green spiky hair. then you get a party and they become part of ur party so they can help ya fight criminals or somethin like dat

iPhone bug confirmed, will look at scripts tomorrow and see if I can replace something and make it work ( May just make a new version with different scripts for those who prefer mobiles.)

You may be wondering :"Where have you been!?!?!" Now here's my answer: I really don't have much free time and I like to play video games so I've been slacking at updating this, and I still have to get quest up and working on my computer.
It may not work on iPhones because the game was made in quest 4 because it was the original game and Quest 5 will take time to transfer it to, especially with the new menu system...

Long story short I should start doing work occasionally on the Alicorn race and get it caught up and look at things, such as possible broken map if compression failed, if anyone can make a nice map that would be appreciated.

About the Peach Festival, I think I let my sister play on my account and yes, she's obsessed with Derpy, maybe be cause of "Derpy Nyan Nyan Dance" on YouTube.
And about the Gender options, I was just asking how do you do it on the create thing, but then I thought that might be some copyright issues.

Ugh Hurray delays, I've been busy moving so I have decided for another respond to questions :( Trust me the project still isn't dead :P'
I typed this in a hurry so sorry for any mistakes on my part :P I hope to make some progress this month, though I feel like doing Alicorns before continuing on for those who want to feel all special, don't expect overpowered alicorns guys, that would make things boring :(
The debug menu command will be changed when I finish the Alicorn, so if you were expecting to keep cheating(if you read book in the apartment at very start :P ) You won't be able to anymore unless I feel a need for widespread testing in which case the debug command will be made very obvious :P

Yes Derpy has a relationship stat setup she will be added. Apparently there is a typo there easy fix though. Also plan on Carrot Top and Caramel... Background ponies.... Probably be the hardest personalities to decide
Thought idea for Derpy would be obviously a bit ditzy, friendly, and then means to do right just ends up not helping. Any other ideas on her personality would probably help.

Peach festival.... Is that in MLP? Haven't been able to watch show since start of season 4, other than my friend showing me Flutterbat that's all I've been able to watch

The Rainbow Dash part I believe there is an option for "stairs", obviously in game it will be noted as flight :P, All ponies need to be able to visit Rainbow Dash... Air balloon for earth ponies... Magic for Unicorns if you get a book. And pegasi flight should be relatively easy?

Umm What do you mean own genders and type of pony? Are the options broken for you or something? Elaborate please :)

Yea nothing happens because I haven't updated it while because moving and my pc had broke so I had to find flash drive I backed stuff up on(If I didn't that would have been bad)

Pretty good but the last two events don't do anything.. And after a while you can't do anything, just spend the day with people and nothing else happens. I'm on day 30, nothing has happened for a while.

But really fun! Add more relationships between ponies and main guy character ;)

Sorry for the lack of updates, my computer unfortunately died last week so I'm getting a new one

The relationship idea wasn't listed under plans however it was planned just no computer to update my lists, but yea relationship increases and decreases by how you choose stuff

The race idea... Well the Pegasus one would probably work well at the wonderbolts event... Though Earth ponies and unicorns I think will have a different day... Running of the leaves?

Cloudsdale... Maybe or maybe not.

Canterlot market was never finished, it appears he made a menu for it but never set it up, I started working on implementing it before my computer died.. The market won't be extremely important, mostly as its not cheap because rich ponies mostly live there, you'll be able to buy gifts from stores (dresses are like 500 bits)

I'll fix that jar of something and I think it was Rarity if you say no to working she is magically turned into Applejack and says something and changes back( She says one of Applejacks lines) of course I could be wrong and it could be the other way... I'll just have to check again.

Possibly game or quest itself though it would seem no one else complains, perhaps try to run again and if it happens in the same area please explain where :)

What precisely do you mean new ponies. If you mean ponies that never appeared in the show only maybe however I won't be adding OC to be any major role, or do you mean ponies that didnt used to be in just the game, which may also be added

i have some ideas on how to improve on the game. Like, at the wonderbolts event, you will get the option to join a race. If you say yes and have an agility of at least 20, you will win the race and increase your relationship with dash. if you lose, you still increase the relationship, just not as much. if you say no, the story continues as normal.
also, add an up feature to town square to fly to cloudsdale, where you can train with rainbow dash to improve your agility. or, if you are not a Pegasus, there will be racing grounds. still hosted by RD, just on the ground instead of the air.
also, with manehattan, remove east south and west. lay it out like canterlot, just with manehattan themes.
how many bits must you have to explore the shopping region of canterlot? i had over 100, still wouldnt go there.
ooh, ooh! add a "should you kiss her" decision. like, the person would say "kiss RD' and RD would react in a certain way. having a below 30 relationship will only worsen it. above 30, you got an SSP.

Like my ideas? sure, they're half baked and kinda weird, but it' the best i can do at the moment.

I hope that you have some knowledge of object-oriented programming because I'd hate for you to make some of the same mistakes I made with "Welcome to Dream Valley" (and I'm sure Klondikekun made with this game); having too much unmanageable code and no real focus on the story, characters, or layout. I'm not saying you should back out on this since that would make me a hypocrite*, I'm just saying I hope you know what you're getting yourself into.
