Binge-played the entire Victorian Detective series just today for the first time and they are truly fantastic. The sheer dedication that goes into these games is remarkable and the final products are of such a high quality. This was my favourite by far, the story felt much longer and therefore more fulfilling to complete, though my one issue sometimes is that often the correct answer is justified well, but it's very easy to pick the wrong answer when you can't find anything contradicting it directly if that makes sense. So so you can sometimes miss one small clue pointing to the right answer and end up thinking the answer is something different because it seems logical based on what knowledge you did collect.

i just want to say that I LOVE VICTORIAN DETECTIVE! <3
ive played the other ones too and i love them!
i especially liked in victorian detective 2, where we got to play different perspectives.
i am really looking forward to this one, too.
i love how well made the games are, as well as your fabulous art, and descriptiveness.
i like mardler, too.
i would very much enjoy if you continued to make more, but if you can't i understand!

I am a huge fan of the other games in this series, however this one did not meet my expectations. While in the other games, every conclusion could be backed up with evidence, in this one, some conclusions seemed a bit far fetched. there wer also a feew gramar issuz. What a heartbreaking ending to the otherwise soulful series.

Yet another very good entry in the Victorian Detective series, which seems to be the best-written original GameBook series that the Quest engine has to offer. Like any good mystery does to its viewers, you'll find yourself on the edge of your seat waiting to see how the story proceeds, and ultimately, wraps up.

It preserved the atmosphere and intensity of its preceding counterparts, though there were more spelling and grammar errors uncorrected. Also, some of the options seemed a little too far-fetched and a bit chancy. All in all, this was a great series that I highly recommend to anyone that has a scientific, historical interest or an interest in mystery novels.
Great work!

This is quite astonishing! The whole vibe of the game is mysterious, and it makes you feel like a real detective. Very Sherlock Holmes-like (which is probably intended). You must make more, my dear man! Arthur Conan Doyle is dead, but you still live. So please make more of these, cause YOU'RE FRIGGIN AWESOME

I was really excited to see that you made another one of these! the stories are always so interesting and detailed. you're a great writer, and these adventures are so much fun. I liked this one, especially the "heartless" storyline, but I felt like some of the deductions were a bit far-fetched. a few times, I didn't feel that there was enough substantial evidence to make a rational conclusion, and that the explanations for coming to those conclusions were a little non-believable. other than that, I love this format and the worlds you create. great game.

This is another really fantastic sequel to the Victorian Detective series.
I want to give it four and three quarters of a star, but I can't, so I'll give it five instead. Where Part III lost a quarter of a star for me is that in the first two parts, everything could be solved by being observant, researching, and using logic, whereas I felt in this part, for some of the puzzles you just had to make a lucky guess. There weren't many of these puzzles, and perhaps you could in fact solve all of the puzzles through logic. If this is the case, please accept my deepest apologies!
Anyway, congratulations on another excellent game, and I hope you keep writing this series. You have already written three brilliantly entertaining, challenging, and original games.
P.S. I love the artwork!

Very good, I love this trilogy. Though I have to say, I think this was my least favourite to date.
It's odd, because it featured some of its most clever deductions, but also some of its silliest. I thought that bringing the chases back was a good addition, and some of your puzzles were very satisfying and made perfect sense. Though I thought Claire's character was a bit OTT, and could have been toned down a bit. Also, (spoilers here), I knew Quentin was the killer as soon as we first met him in the bar, so it kind of took me out of the experience as I said "Look! He's right there!"
Overall, I still enjoyed it. Great length, very little grammatical errors, and enjoyable throughout.

Just played the entire trilogy. Some of the best gamebooks I've played, just based on the sheer thought that went into them. I got a 34... would have been 35, but I intentionally made the incorrect last choice and let the bastard die! Great games, anyone who likes to think while playing will love them.

Overall I liked it but there is a glitch in the introduction...according to the picture you inserted of the chess game the player uses a pawn to place the Black King in checkmate, but in the picture the pawn turns into a queen and but in the previous two moves the queen was already removed from the game. If the final move was a pawn, It would be impossible to place the Black King in Checkmate.
