Just got through playing Victorian Detective 1-3 and saw this on the main page. Was pleasantly surprised to see it was by the same author! Another excellent game! Loved the mercy with an option to revert back to a previous choice at a crucial moment towards the end

It's a good adventure, can recommend playing, especially considering it won't take longer than 20 minutes to complete.
The game relies on choice-making much more than writing. Don't get me wrong, writing isn't at all lazy, just isn't very detailed. Story frequently skips chunks of time, putting you right next to some choice. Some people like it that way, it makes reading less boring and makes you analyze what you are given more thoroughly.
But for me, it just makes for a less interesting horror, because of the lack of build-up.

For all who is worried because continue isn't working; don't be. It takes a little to load. Wait about 2-3 minutes and it'll load. Don't spam click it, or else it'll auto select things in the future.

This is great! My mistake for playing it before summer camp, I'm not going to be able to sleep! Overall, this game is underrated and I feel it should be put on the front page! You have your own unique way of typing a story, and I really love that.

I really enjoyed this story and I'm guessing there are multiple endings, I found a few ending mostly of me dying but I finally completed the game. Mind blown by the way good job.

I really enjoyed this. I loved the mechanics you used and the story really took me by surprise at times! I also genuinely laughed at the jokes which was nice, and cut through the tension when it was needed. Good scripting and characters and the use of audio was a nice touch. I would say however it would be beneficial to add ambient sounds during the long gaps where there was no audio, just for better flow. Other than that it was really good! Well done!

This was a fantastic story with a twist on the whole 'teenagers at a spooky lake' cliche. Each decision seemed like life or death, leaving you constantly on the edge of your seat, with some funny humor every now and then. The perfect thriller.

Yeah, it was a great idea having the relationships monitored etc- But kindof a waste since none of them make any difference! A cool idea, but hopefully you can do more with it, even if it just alters a few descriptions later on!

Even better than Zombolocaust! The characters are awesome, and the choices are perfect, too. I got to do exactly what I wanted to. AMAZING game, and it all ties together nicely. Absolutely fantastic!

Seriously? I loved victorian detective, and Zombolocaust, but this was downright weird! It started out ok, but as it progressed, totally unexpected things happened. I also didn't like how you didn't have much control over the story.

I'm rather fond of peter123's Victorian Detective series (the greatest series on this site, in my humble opinion), and I enjoyed Zombolocaust, even though it's short. There are some things about this game to like, too--particularly, the level of interaction is just enough to provide suspense and give the player a satisfactory level of internal locus of control. On the other hand, many descriptions seem underdeveloped, the game feels short (even if so many Quest games in this genre are shorter), the sound effects are very campy (though that may have been intended, given the 80s/90s horror movie feel), and I believe some added back story for at least one or two of the good guys would've helped with immersion.

All in all, I do recommend playing it, and I recommend the author tool with it a little, because it could certainly become at least a 4-star game with some additions.

Not one of your finer stories. It was pretty short and the horror was cliche. I liked the relationship system but in the end I couldnt date any one of the girls no matter what I did, which ruins the point of the system. The ending is cool I guess, but it was easy to realize that the one is related to the one(Avoiding Spoilers). Overall, it is well written, but victorian detective was alot better.

That game was great!
I really liked it and it was fantastic to play.
But, I think there should be a better aspect of the relationships, I think they should really change the story.
And in my opinion the ending was a little unexplained, and he got the realization too suddenly and not a little with every moment which will be more reasonable.
Yet, a great game.

I really liked it, the Victorian Detective games were perfect, and this was close to fantastic, it was pretty short. And some of the horror was cliche/cheesy. Though, I loved the relationship system, it was genius. 4/5

You rule Peter. There is really NOTHING I can say against this game. The horror came up really good and the music suited perfectly to the scenarios. Also the texts were long, but not boring. There is not much I can say. I'd give six stars, if I could.

Prettay Awesome dude, the only problem i had was why have a relationship meter if certain characters will die no matter what you do. Like I wouldn't mind if somehow, Some way if I could change The shy girls mind, have the maintenence man not die and team up with the group, somehow convince the non-redhead criminal be on our side too, and i kinda liked davey and lai lai, mostly davey, he was a cool guy :(

Very good. I liked it a lot. I was wondering when the sounds would come, and eventually it did. The dialogue keeps me wanting more, so good job on that. I also like the jokes, especially the whale one ;)

Errors (I think):
"We murderer both of those murderers." I think 'murderer' is supposed to be 'murder.'

Spectacular game! I can tell a lot of work went into this! The characters were awesome and I loved how it kept track of your relationships and such (though it was slightly inaccurate). I really liked the way the story was developed and I really felt that the choices affected the outcome of the game.

The only time I was annoyed was when you can choose how to leave as the two bad guys were fighting. I chose to walk out, but I got forced into doing what DC suggested. Oh well, other than that, the game was flawless! I like this even more than Victorian Detective! Incredible work!
