Last Crusade of a Demon Knight by Frostedge

[Still in production, update schedule below Description.]

Ever since Hell's Gate opened, demons ravaged the world, eating and killing as they saw fit. The Church took action, and used the demon's powers against themselves, slaying most demons and driving them all the way back to the Gate. But Hell's Gate was never closed, and Hell's Mistress is still a very real threat. (Disclaimer: I am in no way an expert on Christianity, nor is this work intended to ridicule any religion in any way.)

Last Crusade of a Demon Knight is based on the (not so popular) novel. This gamebook's relationship with said base material is strong, though steps have been taken to prevent limiting the player's freedom in making choices and taking a particular path. This gamebook is also very text-heavy, being based on a novel has a strong influence on that, those who don't enjoy reading; be warned. Should you find any bugs, spelling/grammar errors, or otherwise have feedback, do not hesitate to contact the developer. Further updates will be inbound.

With that said, enjoy.

[Developmental Diary]
12-12-2014: Uploaded the thing. Fixed some minor muck-ups with the coding, alongside dealing with a very annoying bug in the Options editor that randomly rearranges your options.
16-12-2014: Added three pages, and following the feedback I've received from SivD1, I've decided to incorporate four conversation choices if the situation allows it. (Which is most of the time.)

@Marzipan
I'm not really sure how I could contribute to the Forum, the majority of discussions concern coding and programming (I am a banana when it comes to that). But if any discussions rise regarding game logic or story design in general, I'll be sure to pop in. Cheers!

Frostedge, count me as another one who really appreciates your review style and insight. You really ought to come hang out with us on the forum sometime, we could always use more discussion on game design. :)

I'm getting ready for work right now, but I had a quick look at your game and the writing is fantastic, definitely looking forward to reading the rest of it tonight.

Frostedge, I like your professionalism in your reviews as well as your work. Is there any chance that you would be comfortable sharing your skype or an e-mail address so we could discuss more? This is just out of curiosity, and if you don't want to, I understand.

As for awesomeman12345, I am yet expecting a poor review as well. I warned him that I would report him if he ever posted a random, poorly justified negative review on my games, so I am well prepared myself XD

I enjoyed this opening very much. Your attention to detail is extremely seductive, and draws the readers' eye and catches their attention. Though the story hasn't progressed much just yet, I must say that it has caught my intrigue, and I felt like I wanted more by the end.

Not many negatives from this first update. Though they don't mean much, I enjoyed the choices that were given, though I would like it in "Stay Silent" wasn't always an option. And if it is, then possible add three actual dialogue/other choices besides it? That's just a nitpick. As I always say, review something for what it is, and not for what you want it to be.

Only one punctuation error found. Instead of ' "Wonderful, rain," she said. ', replace it with ' "Wonderful, rain." she said. '. The lack of errors earns you a free cookie!

So all in all, great beginning. It is definitely one of the best fantasy game books that I have read on here. As I see that you will be updating this story, I will not be posting a full review until it is completed. Anyways, I will be sure to keep updated, and leave my thoughts when new story is revealed. Hope this helped!

An angry 1-star review from awesomeman12345 may or may not be incoming, depending on whether or not he's matured over time. I gave his story a very stern yet honest review, and he's known for giving revenge-reviews when he receives criticism. Not sure what'll happen, but I'm just calling it in advance.
