to cross the plank you type cross (name of what you're crossing) once you cross the plank you find a woman's body, look at, then look at window I'm sure that you won't need help from there. to get out of you're room type open door after defeating the first zombie.

Jay Nabonne, to fight the zombie once you have the laptop, type use laptop on zombie, and for other people not knowing what to do with the zombies downstairs, once you have tape type use tape with horn, then throw tapped horn. Took me about a few hours to realize this (I got so infuriated once and stopped to let myself cool down lol!)

Great game. Only complaint is some of the commands were a bit obscure (like you have to "turn on flashlight", not just "use flashlight").

Great game! I like how its always different and there's a percent chance you will succeed. Crossing the plank I fell twice, so I thought I needed something else, but I just needed to do it again. I never had to use the handgun though. The crowbar worked a lot better.

The game was made a long time ago and was never made perfectly. It is a glitch that the zombie attacks through rooms. You need to be in the room when the zombie is attacking you to kill it.

(Spoiler? Probably not, but just in case)
I haven't gotten far, but here is a trascript of my first session (past a point). There was a dead man on the floor of the bedroom, so I left the room, with the laptop in posession. The later, in the next room (as I examined the Drawers):

The zombie swings his arms widely at you and you deftly duck to avoid it. You need to attack with something before you get hurt.

The zombie makes a sudden move and slashes down on you. Its painful, but you manage to get up before the zombie attacks again. You need something to attack the zombie!

As you run around the room to avoid the zombie he predicts your path (or makes a mistake) and he manages to hit you. You're getting injured, there must be something in the room to attack it with.

With a groan the zombie slashes down on your face. You trip to the floor and you're slow to get back up. You're close to blacking out. The laptop in your inventory could be used here, its sturdy enough to be a weapon.

You can barely dodge the zombie and he launches himself at you. Biting down on your neck, in seconds you're dead.

As you can see, there are things implied (like being attacked by a zombie) which I don't seem to be able to "realize".
I'll try again, but there is an actual user case for ya.... :)

Haven't finished the game yet but I think it is fantastic. Very atmospheric. I got up to the part where I opened the power box but then I had to leave. I'm looking forward to finishing it

Yet clearly, the zombie can attack you while it is still trapped in the room it self. The reason why I left the zombie in there was because I wanted to save the laptop for another enemy, sometimes it is better to flee than fight, save ammo and all that good stuff. But fleeing only made the zombie not kill-able and I did not bother to go back to the room to see if I could then kill it.

Sorry for all these posts, I was not sure why they continually being cut off. I guess we can not use quotation marks...

Secondly, a very good Help File opposed to many others I have tried.

However, the very first enemy you can leave behind in the room and you can go out the door and continue on your journey. But the man turns into a zombie and attacks you. This would not be so bad if you could attack it back, but once you leave the room you can not. And the game does not show it following you, only that it is preparing and then starts attacking you. I got into the elevator and then went some where else before I stopped playing. I even tried to attack the zombie with the laptop as I had the first time, but it says something about there is no zombie, most likely because he was left in the room. Yet clearly, the zombie can attack you while it is still â

First enemy you can leave behind in the room and save the laptop, but it can continue to attack you while it stays in the room, yet you can not attack it back. Bug perhaps?

If you've saved it online then above the play online/download links should be resume game. If you're offline, then going into (top left) 'quest' then 'restore game'. Locate where you saved it, should work.

I have updated Zombies attack with a message saying how to kill the first zombie, so this should help with the verb issues people will be having. It was after all my first game, and at the time I though everyone would just 'use' things on others things. Thumbs up, and don't forget to give a rating/review!

I, too, had issues with the laptop - it said it could be used as a weapon so I didn't find anything else in the room, and got killed. even when a note came up saying my health was bad and the laptop could be used as a weapon, i tried 'throw laptop' 'hit zombie with laptop' 'use laptop' and such but it just kept saying you can't use that here or i can't see that :-/

Cool, thanks for the review. I'm more experienced with quest now and feel some of those things (such as bad luck) weren't probably the best features, or way to get the theme across. I now think having a 100 health system would have been better and easier to manipulate, as well as better for the player.

awesome game! just finished it. minor complaints are that some bad luck can ruin the entire game. for example if you dont successfully pick the cabinet lock, you cant get the horn and are left to attack the barricaded zombies with a crowbar (low success). also bad luck can have you instantly die while crossing the plank. another glitch is that you can pick the cabinet lock with the aerial even before you reach the roof and pick up the aerial.

@Jared - You'll need the crowbar to remove the body. It is found in apartment 5C, and with turning the power on with the key from the security office take the elevator down.
@Soul emperor - just calm down lol. To attack the fat zombie you'll need the crowbar from apartment 5C, typing fight fat zombie works. You'll need to take the key he drops to unlock the security office. From there the power needs to be turned on.

If you haven't been using hints, you should, but if you have I'm presuming they're not helpful enough.

Typing 'use horn on tape' or 'use tape on horn' works fine.

Have you used the tape on the horn? (presuming you have them both). This should make a taped horn. Either use the taped horn on the zombies or type distract zombies. That will get you past them.

Thanks for the feedback, Seeing as it was my first game I wasn't knowing what to expect. It was mainly in terms of length though, a game I looked at the debugging window for had loads of rooms.

Good game, really well made and atmospheric. Hints didn't really keep up with the game progress, but it was easy enough to figure out what to do anyway.
