I enjoyed it. You're a very good writer, be proud of that. Some criticisms; the pages with only one choice are a good way to space the writing, but you have to write a little shorter to make it effective, and use line breaks where possible (paragraphs). You did this, but I feel like it wasn't enough. Also, make a different background colour and text colour. A forest isn't all black and white, is it?
This type of thing is my cup of tea; I definitely see how so many people find this so addicting. I found it quite annoying how I kept missing the target, but my enemy would always hit me. I'd see an optometrist if I were him, get his eyes checked. And, this was quite ironic, as the weapon I used was a 'trusty' dagger. I was relying on pure luck to win fights. However, I did enjoy distributing my skills as I saw fit, and turn-based fighting has always been ever so addicting. Overall; could be better, but I won't complain too much; games like these only come one in a blue moon.
The story line is a little bland, but this doesn't take away from the experience that much. Although it's a simple game, it's a satisfying game in that, and quite enjoyable. Waiting for Chapter 2! :)
