You are sitting in your bedroom in front of the computer. The room is dark but for the muted glow of the screen.

Tonight you decide to leave the house. It is the first time in six months. The first time since mum died.

With every step you're desperately tempted to return home. Besides, how much can a person really change in just a single night?

NOTE: This game is lengthy and convoluted. Your best chance of making it to the very end is by writing down what certain items do and which conditions lead to failure.

All images and sound effects used throughout are in the public domain, as is the excerpt from I Am A Cat by Natsume Soseki.

Lyrical snippets written by John Darnielle.
