Prototype: A Growing and Shrinking Story by AzurRanfan

It is a time of order. The totalitarian government, led by President Omura, has brought peace through suppression and control. The nation is under self imposed isolation. Certain parts of the country have been closed off to citizens, such as beaches, shrines, and hot springs. President Omura said that they are places where laziness and sedition breed. All foreigners have been deported and no one enters or leaves the country anymore. Colleges have been turned into government academies, where government approved topics are taught to prepare people for their government assigned careers. Social media and the internet are closely monitored by the government and most information is regulated and censored. The upper echelons of the government are incredibly wealthy. Everyone else gets by on scraps that filter down. Those with power abuse the lower class. Those at the bottom dream of being at the top.

You are Miyuki Suzuki, a 27 year old scientist working at BioGen Experimental Systems, a government controlled corporation that produces advanced technologies for President Omura and his regime. Your research has led to the creation of the size changer, a bracelet-like device that allows the wearer to shrink or enlarge people and objects at will. It also may have a small side effect. It seems to increase arousal.

You have decided that the government can’t be given this technology. If anyone is going to abuse the size changer, it is going to be you. You steal the device, destroy your research, and head to the city’s Central Plaza to find suitable test subjects.

Big changes are coming. You can’t wait to decide who is worthy of making those changes.
