How you get the third ending, I tried everything I can think of yet I have no idea on how to get it. Am I missing something?

I can't seem to figure out what to do after getting the sword.. It's really agonizing with how much time I've invested in this, and I recognize it's an error on my part, does anyone know how I can progress?
