What happened? by Claire6129

You wake up in a dark room.
You're memory has been whipped, though you remember someone… a girl… she had screamed… the rest is hard to make out...
The only source of light is from a window, though it's locked. The moonlight shines through the window and reveals a chair, and on another wall is a door….

As you look at the chair, you remember a note, it was placed on that exact chair, though you don't remember anything else.
Don't comment on the music, because this one is free and I only have to include this;

All I can say is... What? That's it?

Several unanswered questions, several spelling errors and the like, very difficult to get invested in the story and honestly? Not even remotely creepy or scary.

I just got back from a long trip, and I understand that some people liked this text and want more? Sure! I will try my best, it might take a few days though, because I am exhausted! Sorry to have you wait, but I'm glad most people enjoyed this!

Did I read something about sequels? count me on board! The moment it goes up, I'll be sure to check it out! :D

Mate. That was the best dang text-based story I've ever seen. is that really the end? if it is, then Oooooh! Spooky! if not, I seriously can't wait to see what you do next!. it was rather short, but at least I didn't die the first door I opened, lol. :)

There were a lot of spelling errors, and I personally didn't find myself invested in the plot at all. I get what the author was trying to do, but the way it was executed... I dunno, I guess it just didn't work for me.

All I can really say? Meh. Not terrible, but really not very impressive.

Bruttar,
I was thinking of making a sequel…
Do you think I should?

That was really cool.
Will you do any sequel?

I liked the overall feel of this game! It left a lot of unanswered questions - which is a good thing. It had a great atmosphere but could be a little longer - anyway, it was good :)

Thepanpiper, please give me examples of spelling words misspelt, and I will fix them, I'm sorry for typing too fast, I have small mistakes some times.

There are a lot of spelling errors. Also, it's a bit too short. I get the idea and everything about why it's short, but there's not enough time to get interested in it.

ignore what I had said, I don't got it under control, and that's why I'm gonna change it to free sound effects. I love the internet. :)

Claire6129,

The music is originally from the 1979 Disney movie soundtrack 'The Black Hole'. Music of course is by John Barry. It's copyrighted to the hilt!

Disney owns more lawyers than Satan and are very protective of their work. If they found out, not only would you, Claire6129, be tracked down and slapped to death by Dumbo's ears but poor old textadventures.co.uk would probably get a legal slapping as well for allowing it to continue.

I suggest you delete it all together unless you know where you can get free classical music as an alternative (don't ask, I don't know, try Google).

Using material of an exterior source (in this case the music) usually affords an explicit permission by the artist or his/her management. You should at least include the musician's credits in your game description to avoid trouble. Artists usually receive royalties if their product (or parts of it) is used by someone else, and it is mostly not relevant if the new product is commercial -- making it accessible to a large public is enough. You might want to read about performing rights before including music. Make sure not to violate the legal conventions.
Sorry if I seem like a spoilsport, but it does happen: there were youtube videos that were blocked because of illegitimate use of copyrighted music, and accounts were deleted because of such copyright violations.

Fyi, Paper Assasin, I first heard this music in a video about our solar system; the song is by John Barry. :-)

Paper Assasin,
I will make another game that will explain it more, but for now, just imagine, just guess what happens, and also, if you got any ideas for me, that'd be great.
Also, by "you", do you mean the player? If so, it's the parent of the little girl, other details will be in another game like I mentioned, the title will be "What Happened, 2"

This game has some of the creepiest music I ever heard. It's sending shivers down my spine. I don't really understand the ending though. What happened to the girl? And what happened to you?
