September 2018 - Alright, I'ma be real witchu all, I'm not coming back to this. I've moved on in life and have other passions - including a successful career, a long-running side hustle, and a podcast project coming down the pipeline. I'm gonna upload the latest version I have - which I would estimate to be about 75% complete - here to TextAdventures for you all to play.

Now, a few words of warning (from 2016):
1. There's a lot of reading to this game. After seeing how much you guys loved the first game, I've decided to expand the world MASSIVELY. Entire fleshed out universe, comin' atcha. Expect details, expect backstories, and expect FEELS.
2. There are only six sex scenes completed right now, and none of the scenes (finished or planned) currently contain Game-Over Rape, which was literally EVERY scene in the first game. This is because THIS game is intended as a half-sequel, not a true sequel. This is a world builder, meant to get you comfortable with the ins and outs of the universe before we continue on. GOR will happen in the next game. For now, just bear with me.
3. This game contains Loli (which in this case refers to characters who are of age to have sex, but are particularly childlike in their physical appearance and/or behavior). It's entirely skippable and avoidable, but it's there.

Even though it is still a work in progress the scenes were amazing. There were so many different routes you could take and the backstory for every succubus was incredibly moving especially the new recruits. It really does put a spin on the normal succubus tale and really makes you want to side with them even when the previous story framed them quite negatively. I know it’s been almost a year since the most recent update I hope this isn’t going to be left unfinished and I can’t wait to read the rest.

I enjoyed it, but do not review incomplete games as a matter of principle. That said, I am glad that this did not become just another abandoned project (*cough*Violated Heroine*cough), and am excited to see the finished work

Hello.

I've graduated college, found a good job, and after moving to cut down my commute now have some amount of free time. I have many personal projects at this time, but it is my intention to finish this game. I will do so in one of two ways. Either I will proceed to a good update point, release an update to show you all that I'm still alive and generate some hype before completing the game, or else I'll just write the whole darn game, test it myself, and release the finished product when it's done. Not sure which, but I do still favor the latter. When I'm done, I want to complete a trilogy at a bare minimum. Plot-wise, I have at least five acts in mind to this story, with each game being a different act to a total of five games. For now, just know that I have kept the game and story in mind for a long time, and I want to see it through to the plot's end.

I have no interest in feedback regarding fetishes at this time. I'll try to keep the Futanari stuff in mind, but I'm more interested in finishing the game than including everyone's fetishes. I'm more than willing to edit it and find some way to write it into the story. Hey Anonroy, just wanted to post a comment showing you that I am still here and supporting. I check the site every few days to see if you have updated or anyone has commented something I find interesting. I really enjoyed the getting the different girls part because it felt a bit more off the rails than the earlier parts. I also look forward to the different political struggles that can come up with your current backstory as well as how the war between the humans and succubi is happening. I think my favorite part is how you are not yet an Incubus and how the mistress is working on that. In the end I love the world building that you have done in Tales and I look forward to your future installments. Good luck :)

Haven't finished it yet, but I can already say that I totally love the way you make the whole story flow smoothly, with much detail where it has to be. Basically as per current state the game is just like a book where you sometimes have a chance to change the order of events or pick few chosen off the stack. I'm still just past completing the ballroom though, so maybe I'm wrong. But that's not the point. Despite the fact that I have no choice, I really love the way the choices are taken on my behalf. It somehow makes me think you do the right thing to players' minds, making them - after possibly many pervert pound this flesh games - recall that even under a slutty uniform, under a body begging for endless pleasure, under even those perverted minds, there is a soul out there, seeking out some comfort, acceptance, understanding, compassion, some human feelings.

For the Shadow, despite I'm totally not into that kink and I got there just to complete the ballroom stories and because I got curious if it wouldn't be end of protagonist's life, I got surprised about how mature was that little piece of a story, satisfying just about the fact of mending a few pieces of a broken mirror, speaking metaphorically.

School work is just about complete. Graduating soon. Don't have a job yet, so I expect some degree of down time. We'll see if I can't find my old notes, put some time in, and finish this part of the story.

At which point, I'll probably develop part 3 to 100% completion before posting it anywhere. The more updates I make, the less I want to produce.

So the next update to THIS game will be 100% completion, one way or another.

I've begun planning on adding a Futanari character or scene.

In particular, you can expect this character to insert into a female character or be inserted vaginally/anally by a male, female (strap-on), or other futanari. I will not be writing futanari inserting into male, just cuz that doesn't quite work for me personally.

Does anyone have any preference to either of the two following situations?
1. Character is temporarily changed into Futa by magic or potion, or
2. Character is permanent Futa.

I'm leaning towards number one, but let me know if you prefer one way or the other. Also, to clarify, this scene/character would be added into Tales of the House of Temptation; I have no intention of adding anything to the first game at this time.

I just played it again, and the only criticism that I feel is worth mentioning is that it can feel like this text adventure is more so a book. The game is very on rails at points (I can list certain points if you want) and it can feel as though I'm being a lead along rather than leading the story. I still very much enjoy the game and don't really have a problem with the game you've created due to the character making choices I would have made regardless . However, I wish that if I wanted to I could become a sadist or some evil person not caring about humans. I could be stupid and get killed by the shadow. These are just choices that would be cool to have just because it provides more options regardless of whether or not I would make them when playing seriously. In the end, I feel like there could be more choices available but the gameplay and story that you are showings are still very solid.

Im not sure how the mods of Fenoxo's forums would react to your game. One of the mods can be pretty harsh about anything hinting at underage characters. "No games depicting sexual antics either between minors or with a minor is allowed on this forum. If a human being is listed as seventeen years or younger and they're in a sexual situation, it cannot go here. If a character is in general depicted as a child, a "childish loli," this is more of an edge case with your non-human excuse BS but in the majority of cases it is not allowed here. " it might be ok with the twins not being human but be careful if you decide to talk about this game there.

@Snusnu, thanks for your kind words. I did put out a bit of an advertising campaign a good long while ago, mainly on forums (including Fenoxo) and the occasional post to 4chan's various /hgg/ threads. For whatever reason, no one seemed to be very interested then, but it's possible that things have changed. Regardless, I don't think I want to go out and advertise either game until after I've completed this one and begun the next.

But if someone else, perhaps someone who had some kind words for the game, were to go to the occasional forum, such as ULMF (where, due to Loli content, I can't really post my game without incurring the wrath of the mods, but someone else could without issue), and post about the game a little, start up a conversation, I would be grateful. You know, just if. :P

Oh, a though passed my mind; if you're looking for more feedback, you'll need more exposure. Currently, I believe the game has a broad appeal for the MG and/or furry audience. You just need to tap into their community by posting the game in more places than just here and UponHerLips. Also, a big factor is the fact that you have to register to leave a comment or view the game here so that's another barrier. I think if you post it on 8ch or Fenoxo's forums you could potentially expand your audience.

I've been following your work closely since I first saw 'House of Temptation' on an obscure forum. I'd like to say well done on creating a cohesive universe with a strong narrative. The first game was more of a short CYOA with bad ends and pop references, however, your writing didn't fail to keep me interested even in the sequel. I eagerly await the next update so I can properly give a review to both installments of the game. As of now, I'm holding off on doing so I can provide more detail on how well the sequel ties in with the first game. Good luck!

It's not even finished, but that only makes it that much better. Because you'll be eager for more! The people feel real, and while at times it can be over the top goofy, it's nothing internet nerds like us can't handle. There is a story to each character, and whether you choose to explore that is up to you. The MC isn't some random douche bag, he's a person with moral standards that are constantly being tested around him. Just give it go.

I like what I've made, but there's a part of me which questions the morality of writing smut. I have a difficult time reconciling my actions with my beliefs. I am confident that it's a good story, that I'll be able to tell something of substance, and that you'll all get your enjoyment out of it. But sometimes I wonder if expressing myself in this way is morally right.

For now, I'm able to use that to fuel the dissonance you try to handle throughout the story, the conflict of demon sexiness and human consent. Over time, I hope to illustrate the difference between the two factions - one faction thinks themselves predators, the other faction thinks themselves saviors, but both groups do the same thing with limited difference or distinction. If I'm lucky, skilled, or both, I'll be able to illustrate the dissonance between the two ideas, and give you, the main character, a unique view. Where the Succubi are intimately involved, you are an outsider brought into it all, which should allow you a different perspective.

In short, the dissonance in the universe is fueled by the dissonance within me.

Still, silver lining - if I can reach some degree of popularity with this series, I'll take it as a sign that I might be able to write professionally and receive some degree of success. Frankly, if it weren't for the Lolicon content, I'd consider taking the series to a publisher. However, in my opinion the existence of childlike Succubi is integral to the universe as a whole. As a result, I have yet another layer of dissonance - attempting to reconcile a critical aspect of the in-game universe with real-world morality and sexual interest.

That's about how I feel. I like what I've written very much, but... dissonance.

Future Plans? Game three, "Assault on the House of Temptation." Beyond that, nothing but vague ideas. Though I might make an Anthology version that combines all three games, at some point.

As for what caused me to begin writing... curiosity and frustration. I'd enjoyed writing in collaborative roleplays for a long time, and I was curious to see if anyone wanted to read what I wrote solo. I was also frustrated with how little good content there was of my personal favorite fetish, "sex you really shouldn't be enjoying." Game-Over Rape is a subset of that fetish, and Succubi really very much embody the fetish as a whole. So I explored the porn game idea with the first one, and after hitting a lot of success and getting a lot of interest in it, I decided to go all-in. I built a world, fleshed out characters, and started writing.

I can understand and appreciate what you mean. It's a nice change of pace from what I normally play where you are the "chosen one."

What plans do you have in the future for the game? Also what caused you to begin writing it in the first place?

So, unfortunately, it is the case that optional actions don't have much impact on the characters. You need to remember something critical - with all but the clinically depressed, if they're really having trouble, they'll reach out. In Madison's case, for instance, in my head she goes and talks with Laura later on if you don't talk to her instead. It kind of functions as a quiet mechanic to humble the player - you are not, in these games, the chosen one meant to save succubus-kind and bring about a new era of sex and sexuality. You're just a dude. Your impact is noticeable, but without you, the world would continue to spin, and characters would continue to resolve their problems. It's why you could die in the first game, it's why you'll be able to die in subsequent games.

In the next game, I intend to have multiple endings, including a "True Ending" (They will be clearly labeled, of course). You'll be able to make different choices that have significant outcomes, including character deaths. Along the course of those pathways, each of which I hope to make distinct and significant, characters will change... but if I choose to continue the series, and I expect I will, it will be based on the True Ending and relevant path, choices, etc...

Just finished the next part and it was great! My only question is with the ability to skip to later parts of the game, does it mean that your actions leading up to that point in the game do not have an affect on the characters latter on. For example, in the beginning of the game I like to visit and help out Madison. Does that cause her to act any differently not only towards me, but as a succubus in general (due to her not sure if she is good or evil) latter on in the game? I would enjoy if it did. Lastly, I enjoy the format you are currently using for your game. Choosing what you do through text has always been my preferred method of play over typing things in. Thank you for giving us such a great game and I look forward to future installments. P.S. Tell your GF thank you for me for supporting your work. I know how important that is for an author.

As a side note, after talking with my girlfriend I decided to stay up late and grind out most of what was left of the Three Missions section. It's not my best work, but it'll let me put out an update and move on with the story. I'm nearly done now. Expect an update today. @Arizona2000D, negative on a final release, but I'm getting very close. The next big part of the game is a trio of missions you go on. You seek out 3 girls, but you pick the order. Problem is, people have lives, so I had to devise a total of nine different scenarios, which in my head are all a coherent sequence of events for the girls, such that you can interrupt that sequence in the order you choose. Further, you have different ways of going about it, which will have rewards and consequences later on. On average, you've got three different methods per scenario, plus a context page for each scenario, slight variations to account for, and three hub pages. All told, the missions take up 39 pages. 10 of them remain unwritten right now.

Now, I'm not saying all this to bitch and bemoan my situation, and I just want clarify - I put myself in a position where I'm rewriting the same situation over and over again. It's murder on my creative desire.

But I'll also tell you that I've gotten through 15 of those pages in the last month, and when I'm finally done, I think I'll be much more interested in finishing the project. So hang in there, know that I've learned a lesson from this and won't put myself in this situation again, and thanks very much for your continued interest and patience.

Yes and no. In planning out what came next, I ended up doing something which I now know I find very boring - writing multiple different paths which lead to the same or similar outcomes. I like progressing along logical chains of events, not rewriting the same event with minor details. I overextended myself in this regard and lost my drive to write, but I'm slowly getting back into the groove of things.

I still intend to finish this game. Just know that the next one will be avoiding this notion (multiple choices that lead along the same general path) in the future.

Probably one of the best adult text adventures i've played in a while, though i didn't go too much into the sex scenes as i was mostly enjoying the decently engaging story and dialogue.

The story being more linear gives the story a more focused feel, though it does lack a few options like other text games have though i'm not really familiar with the QUEST engine so i wouldn't know how feasible it would be to add things buttons for examination of other people and such.

Anyway, the comedy is funny and the writing is good i'm looking forward to updates.
