The Stanley Parable - The Text Adventure Edition by nintendex

The text adventure of the mind-boggling game; The Stanley Parable. You play as Stanley, a simple man who works for a company. He likes to push buttons, basically; it's his job. But one day, he finds all of his co-workers gone and his workplace completely empty. Viciously curious, Stanley embarks on a journey through the building, eventually uncovering a dark secret from his employers, which threatens Stanley's very existence...

...Or does he? Being in control of Stanley, there are countless ways you can drive the story. You can follow it, go against it, trick it, or even destroy it completely. Which path will you take? How many endings will you find?

It's all up to you, Stanley. Good luck...

This game is faithful to the actual game, is there a chance you can make the Ultra Deluxe Edition of this?

It was incredible! Just one problem though. I got the game ending, where once you play all those games the narrator puts you in, eventually you end up wandering through the darkness of an unfinished part of the game, abandoned by the narrator. After this, there's no button to restart. To continue, you have to completely restart the game. Fix this please its annoying!

I played Minecraft!

How to enter Minecraft in this game:

1. Go through the right door
2. Go through the door in front of you
3. Jump onto the lift thing
4. Jump onto the catwalk
5. Enter the blue door 3 times
6. Review the game as 1 twice
7. You're in a crude remake.
8. After you go down the cave, you are placed into the game 'portal'.

Totally accurate to the real Stanley parable (even though i've only seen videos of the game)!
Everything is the same as the real Stanley parable.

Amazing!!! Really felt like as close as you can get to a text version of the true game. I could actually hear the Narrator`s delightfully British accent during the whole time!

Very Good!

This literally made me feel like I was playing the real game! Although I feel that you'd have to have seen someone play it, or play it yourself to make it feel a little more like the real game, I still love it! 5/5!

ehh. i only liked it when you were in the construction room and if you jumped down on the other platform, the narrator would say: "wa- i was in the middle of something ya know!"
So i actually don't really HATE, hate it. i just didn't like the fact that it was all words and you didn't get to see anything other than words!!! so ya. plz respect my opinion. :(
all games can't have everybody loving them no matter what!
So its just my opinion and......
have a wonderful day...

i personly (no idea how you spell that but i don't care) thought that this was boring. i didn't even read the dialogue, i simply just pushed buttons. i thought is was not fun AT ALL. 0 stars on this game. i wish it was like the real game stanley parable. it would of been a lot more fun. so don't judge my opinion ok? plz don't.

If your confused, because your mental capabilities lack in almost every way, then read what comes after this and you'll understand what you just played. The Stanly parable is a game where the Narrator directs Stanly through his game in his Story Line, however Stanly has the choice to listen or to not listen. When the dialoug says something, thats the narrators speech, so you can do the opposite of what he narrates. For example, the narrator says "Stanly walked through the left door" You can either make the story do what the narrator inteded it to, or not do what he predicts, and find yourself intruiged and laughing at how a game starts acknowledging its self as a game, instead of just knoiwing whats happening inside the game itself.

Choosing what the narrator tells you to makes the game seem boring but once you do the opposite the text suddenly becomes hillarious

Why are people complaining about how hard this game is? You're not supposed to win it, it's a representation of how our choices define the outcome of our lives. And to that one guy complaining about reading, WHY ARE YOU ON A TEXT ADVENTURE WEBSITE?!

As a fan of the mod and the official game, I truly love this version. A lot of the dialogue is verbatim from the game, although some has been altered/added for effect, but the effect is almost always positive. My only complaint is that some of the games endings were to visual for a text based game, but other than that, game book is a perfect medium for the Stanley Parable.

Good…
But it's more of a story and it doesn't really give you good options.
Ex: He pushes off.
Options are:
Push Off
Push On
But you already know what to do because you said it.
Good but I'd like to see you give out more options.
